professor of Chemistry at Hunan Normal University, Changsha, China, she    joined the Hunan 100 Talents Project in 2010. Research interests:    Developing the theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM), hydrogen bonding, the    structure of soft-matter and the aggregation behavior of silica. Samantha    Jenkins has a PhD in computational and theoretical chemical physics from    the University of Salford, UK. She did her undergraduate studies at Exeter    University in the Theoretical Physics program. She has a broad range of    international collaborators and is in the process of building a research    group. Currently she is a professor at the College of Chemistry and    Chemical Engineering, Hunan Normal University, Changsha, China. Her    involvement in SuMo is as a guest researcher.

                                  Steven    Robert Kirk
has a PhD in Computational physics from the University of Salford, UK. He did    his undergraduate studies at Cambridge University in the Nature Science    program. He has carried out industrial consultancies for British Nuclear    fuels and Salford Software. Currently he is a professor at the College of    Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan Normal University, Changsha,    China. He joined the Hunan 100 Talents Project in 2013. Steven's research    interests include algorithms, GPU computing and computational materials    science. One on going project is the BEACONpartnership with Samantha Jenkins    from Hunan Normal University, Michael Persson and Joakim Carl?n from Eka    Chemicals AB, Manolo Teixeiro from Gridcore AB and Per Nyl?n from the PTC    and the Knowledge Foundation on the control of aggregation of silica    nano-particles. He is the project manger for the open-source QTAIM    development site AIMPAC2.

ZHANG Longxi is a leading scholar in East-West cross-cultural studies. He    holds an MA from Peking University and a Ph. D. from Harvard. He had taught    at Harvard and the University of California, Riverside, and is currently    Chair Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation at City University    of Hong Kong. He is an elected foreign member of the Royal Swedish Academy    of Letters, History and Antiquities, a member of the Executive Council of    the International Comparative Literature Association, and an Advisory    Editor of New Literary History. His research interests are East-West    cross-cultural studies, and his major book publications include The Tao and    the Logos: Literary Hermeneutics, East and West (Durham: Duke University    Press, 1992); Mighty Opposites: From Dichotomies to Differences in the    Comparative Study of China (Stanford: Stanford University Press, 1998); Out    of the Cultural Ghetto (Hong Kong: Commercial Press, 2000; Beijing: Joint    Publishing Co., 2004, in Chinese); Allegoresis: Reading Canonical    Literature East and West (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 2005);    Unexpected Affinities: Reading across Cultures (Toronto: University of    Toronto Press, 2007); An Introduction to Comparative Literature (Shanghai:    Fudan University Press, 2009, in Chinese); and most recently, A Spiritual Epic:    Paradise Lost (Taipei: Net and Books, 2010, in Chinese). He is now the    guest-professor of HNU.

                                  Prof.    Shing-Tung Yau
Shing-Tung Yau has made fundamental contributions to differential geometry    which have influenced a wide range of scientific disciplines, including    astronomy and theoretical physics. With Richard Schoen, Yau solved a    longstanding question in Albert Einstein's theory of relativity by proving    that the sum of the energy in the universe is positive; their proof has    provided an important tool for understanding how black holes form. In 1982    Yau was awarded the Fields Medal, the highest award in mathematics, and in    1994 he shared with Simon Donaldson of Oxford University the Crafoord Prize    of the Royal Swedish Society, in recognition of his "development of    nonlinear techniques in differential geometry leading to the solution of    several outstanding problems." He is now the Honorary Professor of    HNU.
